American Idol experts aren’t exactly in agreement on who will take the crown tonight.

But, hey, unpredictability makes for a great Season 13 finale, right?

I’m on the record as saying I think Jena Irene deserves to win Idol.

Based on the response to the finalists’ first singles, I also think she’ll win.

But here are the thoughts of other Idol watchers …

Michael Slezak, TV Line: “I’ll go on the record and say that Jena will and should inherit Candice’s crown and sash, but I won’t be shocked if Caleb ekes out the win.”

M.J. Santilli, Mjsbigblog: “I’m going with my gut to say that Caleb Johnson will win American Idol,” pointing to past voting trends and Caleb taking two of three rounds on Tuesday’s show.

Rodney Ho, Atlanta Journal Constitution: “While I think Jena has a slight edge over Caleb in polls, it’s close enough that Caleb could certainly pull a Ruben Studdard and win.”

Glenn Gamboa, Newsday: Says Jena should win and predicts she will after awarding two of Tuesday’s three rounds to the gal from Michigan.

Jeff Dodge, Buddy TV: Predicts a Caleb win. “It seems like most fans online are wanting to see Jena win. And it’s obvious why, and I agree with them. But I think Caleb being from the South along with other factors will secure him the victory.”
