Jeffery Austin continues to defy the odds on The Voice.

The Team Gwen member took six years off from performing after high school.

But after Monday’s live playoffs, he was poised to have the best performing song on iTunes for his team.

Jeffery sang Jessie Ware’s “Say You Love Me.” As of midnight EST, the song was sitting at number 38 on the iTunes’ Top 200. By noon EST Tuesday, when voting ended, it had climbed to number 25.

Ellie Lawrence, the contestant Gwen Stefani rescued from elimination with her coach’s comeback nod, was also doing well on iTunes.

Six Team Gwen members performed Monday night. The top two in terms of votes and iTunes downloads will advance to the Season 9 finals next week.

Then Gwen will have to select one of her remaining four artists to advance as well.

As of noon, here’s where the Team Gwen performances stood on the charts.

Jeffery Austin, “Say You Love Me” — number 25 on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 18 on the pop chart.

Ellie Lawrence, “Ex’s and Oh’s” — number 43 on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 3 on the alternative chart

Braiden Sunshine, “Everything I Own” — number 62 on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 30 on the pop chart

Viktor Kilary, “All Around the World” — number 77 on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 3 on the R&B / soul chart

Korin Bukowski, “Adia” — numer 181 on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 16 on the alternative chart

Regina Love, “Hello” — not charting on the iTunes’ Top 200; number 15 on the R&B / soul chart

Check back tonight. I’ll be live blogging with song by song grades as the members of Team Pharrell and Team Blake perform.
