As has become tradition, the stars turned out Saturday night for the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala.
Among those on hand, Grammy-nominated Adam Lambert and former Grammy recipient Jennifer Hudson.
Here are some early photos from the event. I’ll be posting more as they become available. At the bottom, you’ll also find photos of Crystal Bowersox and Jordin Sparks, who turned out for the Friday night Music Cares tribute to Barbra Streisand.
Speaking of Jennifer, she has the honors of kicking off Sunday night’s Grammys by participating in a tribute to Aretha Franklin along with Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.
MTV held a poll about the most highly anticipated Grammy performance, and the Aretha tribute finished first. Largely, I suspect, because of Christina’s post-Super Bowl participation.
Second in the voting was Lady Gaga, followed closely by Eminem.
Check back tomorrow night. I’ll be blogging live throughout the Grammys and posting photos as they become available, with the focus on the Idol nominees, of course.
For a look at those nominees and their competition, go here.
And, if you want to read what Jennifer is saying about Sunday’s Grammy kickoff performance, go here. MTV posted an interview with her about that performance on Friday.
Meanwhile, enjoy the photos.
