There’s been a change of plans for “Change of Plans,” the made-for-TV movie featuring season seven Idol contestant Brooke White.

The DVD-CD combo pack from the Family Movie Night was supposed to go on sale Tuesday, exclusively through Wal-Mart.

But it’s release has been delayed by about a month, until April 26.

Oh well, it’s not as though there won’t be other Idol releases to keep us entertained in the meantime.

But I was looking forward to Change of Plans,” especially the CD, which will feature three or four new tunes from Brooke.

As an actress, “Change of Plans” marked Brooke’s debut, though she seemed quite natural in the role of an aspiring musician who finds her and her husband’s plans for the future changed when her good friend dies, leaving four adopted children of different nationalities in their care.

Sure, it’s sappy in parts and the resolution seems contrived. Hey, this is a Family Movie Night film, brought to us by Wal-Mart and P&G  (Proctor and Gamble).

Still, I’d recommend checking it out if the film is rebroadcast by FOX, especially if you enjoyed Brooke back in season seven.
