Molly DeWolf Swenson, a Harvard grad and White House intern, is Hollywood-bound on American Idol.We met Molly DeWolf Swenson Wednesday night during American Idol’s Milwaukee audition show.

She’s the Harvard grad who now interns at the White House. The one who proclaimed “I love this president,” then added that she didn’t mean in the Monica Lewinsky-Bill Clinton way.

And the contestant who got smacked in the face by Randy Jackson as he gave high-fives to auditioners.

The 22-year-old from Seattle impressed judges with a very good version of “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.” Certainly a better version of the song than we heard last week from Jacee Badeaux, one of the 15-year-olds Idol is trying to shove down our throats this season.

Randy asked where Molly had been. I’m pretty sure he meant musically.

Well, here’s the answer. She graduated from Harvard last year and, while there, she was a featured vocalist with the Harvard Opportunes.

Here’s are some videos of Molly performing with the Opportunes.

Singing a snippet of “Halo”

Singing “Midnight Train to Georgia”

Singing “Gravity”
