Gabby Barrett says she started dreaming of being on American Idol as a young girl, when she watched Carrie Underwood win Season 4.

Now, a week after singing with her idol on the Idol stage, she’s one step away from following in Carrie’s footsteps.

She’ll compete Sunday night against Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson for the Season 16 American Idol title.
