New Idol Music, Scotty McCreery

A new, more personal video from Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery has released the video for “Water Tower Town,” his third single from the “Clear As Day” album.

And if you’ve wanted a closer glimpse at Scotty’s hometown of Garner, N.C. … well, the video should satisfy your curiosity.

Throughout the video, images of Garner — from the First Baptist Church to the local fire company — are interspersed with images of Scotty performing the song live.

Not surprising, since the song is all about small towns.

And it’ll be interesting to see how the single has done. To date, Scotty has accomplished a heck of a lot in terms of album sales without a smash single.

Oh, sure, “The Trouble with Girls” and “Love You This Big” both climbed to the mid-teens on Billboard’s country singles chart.

Far more impressive is the fact that Scotty’s album went platinum, making him the first Idol winner to accomplish that feat since Season 7’s David Cook.

And 37 weeks after its release, “Clear As Day” is still number 22 on the country albums chart and number 117 on the Billboard 200.

And, don’t forget, you can watch Scotty live July 12 at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster. Tickets for the show are $67. You can get more information by heading here.
