Season seven American Idol contestant Brooke White has posted her latest single, “Radio, Radio,” on her MySpace page.

The song is from her debut album, “High Hopes and Heartbreak,” due for release on July 21.

Here’s what Brooke writes about the song in a blog posted Wednesday afternoon: “My intention for this song is to do one thing … plain and simple … to make you happy, forget the heavy stuff for a second and just dance and sing along. I’m cheesy, right, I know … but cheese is good.”

The new tune isn’t available on iTunes yet; it should be in the next few weeks, Brooke said.

But the first single from the album, “Hold Up My Heart,” can be downloaded there.

You can also listen to that song free on Brooke’s MySpace page. It’s the song she performed live on Idol during this year’s semifinals.

Brooke’s first post-Idol album is being released through June Baby Records, a new independent label created by the singer-songwriter, Idol judge Randy Jackson and Carl Stubner, head of Sanctuary Artist Management. That company is co-managing Brooke.

According to a mid-May press release, “High Hopes and Heartbreak” marks Jackson’s first project with a former Idol contestant, and Brooke co-wrote the entire album.

Brooke also released an independent album, “Songs from the Attic,” in 2005 that includes covers of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” and Coldplay’s “Yellow,” a song she performed during last year’s Idol summer tour.

Brooke placed fifth on season seven of Idol.
