A special deal on Kris Allen’s new album

If you haven’t picked up a copy of Kris Allen’s “Thank You Camellia,” you might want to head to Amazon today.

The site is offering a download of the entire album for the bargain price of $5.99. But, apparently, it’s a one-day only offer.

The album has been something short of a smash success for Idol’s Season 8 winner.

It debuted at number 26 on the Billboard 200 and was on the chart for just two weeks.

It deserved better. I mean, it’s far from the best Idol album of 2012, but it’s better than Kris’ post-Idol debut and features that catchy lead single, “The Vision of Love.”

Now, here’s some bonus Kris — a neat little cover of the Beach Boys “God Only Knows” as he plays ukulele and is accompanied by a couple of friends.

It was just posted on his website.
