Well, let all the speculation end.
The judges for American Idol Season 13 are Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr.
And Randy Jackson, who supposedly retired from the show at the end of Season 12, will be back.
He’ll serve as the Season 13 mentor, replacing Jimmy Iovine, who has departed Idol along with Season 12 judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
Jennifer Lopez’s return had been talked about for weeks, but no one confirmed it until Ryan Seacrest sent out a tweet earlier this morning.
Connick takes a place that at one point was rumored to go to Dr. Luke, or will.i.am, or any one of a number of other singers Idol was supposedly interested in at one point, including a host of former contestants.
More on my take on the announcement later on.
