Country artist Andrew Jannakos released his debut EP, “Gone Too Soon” on Friday.

And on Sunday, that EP was number 23 on Apple Music’s country albums chart.

Andrew, from Flowery Branch, Ga., was 25 when he auditioned for Season 16 of The Voice. He was eliminated in the cross battles, which followed that season’s battle round.

He’d never released an original song at the time, but his career got a boost when his wife posted a TikTok video of him singing “Gone Too Soon” while cooking dinner.

The result has been pretty amazing: more than 26 million streams of the song on Spotify alone.

Now signed to Sony Nashville, Andrew has relocated to Nashville.

And the EP that dropped Friday includes a collection of six songs, all of which he co-wrote. Including that title tune, of course.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be able to put out my first debut EP with @sonynashville,” Andrew writes on Instagram.

“It’s every artist’s dream to be able to write, record and release their own music …and I hope this EP shows who I am as an artist, a writer and the diversity that I bring into country music.

“Being different is an ability & makes you stand out — tt makes you, you. I still dream of the day touring in front of thousands of fans singing my songs back to me.

“This is EP is just one step closer to that reality!”

Here’s one of the tracks from that EP, “When the Whiskey Runs Out.”
