You might say Andrew Sevener has some performing experience.

His mother was a country singer; his father was in a rock band. And when Andrew was 15, he joined them in a family band called Helluvanote.

They traveled around, playing a mix of country, rock, blues and pop music. But Andrew also wanted to launch a solo career, which is what ultimately led him to The Voice.

He turned just one chair in his blind audition, that of Blake Shelton.

But that was the chair he wanted, and Andrew made the most of the opportunity. He’ll be one of four singers competing for the Season 16 title Monday night.

Here’s more about Andrew:

* He hails from Alvarado, Texas, was 22 when he auditioned and lived in a trailer his parents used to use as a recording studio. His pre-show day job was working as a motor home technician.

* Pre-Voice, he released a six-song EP called “Bad Connection” last May and a single called “Warzone.”

* Andrew told Voice Views his biggest performance prior to The Voice was opening for Texas country artist Stoney La’Rue at his hometown bar, Turkey Creek, in front of a crowd of about 1,800. Turkey Creek, coincidentally, was also one of the first places to welcome Andrew as a performer.

Here’s a look at Andrew’s Voice performances to date.
