Think back to when we met Maelyn Jarmon on The Voice.

She told the show she was living in New York, working as a waitress to “get by” and had been “very close to giving up on music.

“The Voice sparked a new fire for me.”

And how. Maelyn turned four chairs with her blind audition, joined Team John Legend and will be vying for the show’s Season 16 title Monday night.

A bit more about Maelyn:

* She’s deaf in one ear, the result of multiple ear infections as a child and and calls that her “super power.”

* She has one pre-show song available on Apple Music, “Avo” from 2017 at simply Maelyn.

* She told Voice Views she auditioned for American wen she was 16, but didn’t make it through the first round. She was 25 when her blind audition was filmed last fall. Of the Idol experience, she said: “As upset as I was, I’m so glad I didn’t make it and I had time to find myself as a person and an artist.”

Here are Maelyn’s performances from The Voice.
