Blake Shelton had two of his youngest team members square off in the battle round Tuesday night.

Carter Lloyd Horne, 19, of Marietta, Ga., auditioned with “Drinkin’ Problem” by Midland and turned two chairs.

LiLi Joy, 15, of Chino Hills, Calif., auditioned with “Cool” by Gwen Stefani to earn her spot on Team Blake.

The song: “I’ve Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher
The feedback: We heard no feedback because The Voice montaged the performance.
The outcome: Blake advanced Carter; Lili was eliminated.
My take: Who knows? The Voice showed us only a tiny snippet of the battle. And after 16 seasons, this show still hasn’t figured out that it might be a nice to put these full performances online as a service to the artists and the fans eager to hear them, especially since the show nixed iTunes versions for the early rounds. Not to mention a nice way to generate some web/app traffic.
