Casey Abrams, New Idol Music

Casey Abrams debut album due out June 26

The flow of new Idol music will slow considerably now that the hype of Season 11 has passed, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few musical treats to look forward to.

For instance, we’re just weeks away from that debut album from Casey Abrams, he of the dramatic Season 10 save, he of the stand-up bass, the quirky character and those brilliant duets with Haley Reinhart.

The self-titled album hits stores on June 26, and pre-orders are now being taken at Amazon.com. And, if you sign up for the Casey Abrams newsletter here, you can get a free instant download of “Simple Life.”

And, if you don’t want to be bothered with such updates, “Simple Life”  became available as a single track on iTunes Tuesday along with a second song from the album, “Get Out.”

They’re available individually for $1.29 each.

Oh, and speaking of duets with Haley Reinhart, one of the album’s 11 tracks is just that as they do a cover of “Hit the Road Jack.”

Can’t wait to hear that.

Meanwhile, here’s “Simple Life”
