Three former top finishers on American Idol have new Christmas music out.

That includes Jordin Sparks, who released a full album, and David Archuleta and Haley Reinhart, both of whom have holiday singles out.

* Jordin Sparks, winner of Idol Season 6, released “Cider & Hennessy” recently. The 10-song holiday album includes eight originals, including the COVID-inspired lead track “Merry Christmas to Your Face.” Jordin told AZCentral.com that she was only supposed to recorded a couple of Christmas songs for a holiday project she was involved with. Then that project was postponed due to the pandemic. “So I was in the Christmas space and I thought ‘Why not? I have all this time. Why not stay in this space and see what I can do?'” Jordin, 30, also told the site she’d always wanted to record a Christmas album.

* David Archuleta from Season 7 has released a holiday original called “What a Wonderful Way to End a Crazy Year.” Like the aforementioned song from Jordin, it’s COVID-inspired, of course. Writes David: “2020 has been an unpredictable year, but I hope you’re able to end this crazy year with some loved ones over the holidays.” There’s a music video for the song too.

* Haley Reinhart from Season 10 has released her cover of “O Holy Night.” She writes she’s gotten “a ton of requests” for a full version of the song since she sang a snippet on the Netflix animated series “F Is In Family,” in which she voices a character named Bill. Haley also appears in a Netflix film to be released Dec. 25 called “We Can Be Heroes.”
