Casey James, the third-place finisher on American Idol in Season 9, performed a free show on the WGTY Great Country Radio Stage at the York Fair Sunday.

When WGTY’s Scott Donato introduced Casey on stage, he asked the audience if they thought that Casey should have won Idol. The audience applauded
and screamed.

Casey threw several autographed ShurFine Frisbees into the audience before starting his performance.

Michelle Masser from New Oxford said she came to the York Fair for the sole purpose of seeing the Casey James concert.

Casey sang many songs from his debut album, including “She’s Money,” “The Good Life,” “Love The Way You Miss Me,” “Drive” and “Workin’ On It.”

When Casey sang his first single “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night,” the audience started clapping along with the song.

Casey sang his latest single “Crying On A Suitcase” acoustically without his drummer Blaine Crews. The crowd loved it.

Heather Eisenhart from Spring Grove said that “Crying On A Suitcase” is her favorite Casey James song.

After the show, Casey went to Memorial Hall to sign autographs and take pictures with his fans. There was a line of fans filling the hall for the chance to meet him.

Alexis Weitkamp from York enjoyed the concert, stating, “It was awesome.”
