Two female country stars from American Idol will perform on the York (Pa.) Fair main stage next week.

Season 16 finalist Gabby Barrett will open for Jason Aldean at an 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31 show.

And Season 20 runner-up HunterGirl will open for Tracey Byrd at a 7 p.m. show on Friday, July 29.

Tickets for both shows are still available and include admission to the fair.

Toby Keith was originally scheduled to play the grandstand stage on Friday, July 29, but had to cancel the show for health reasons.

The HunterGirl-Tracey Byrd show was arranged to fill that slot in the fair concert schedule. General admission tickets are $25.

HunterGirl was one of three contestants granted a platinum ticket on Season 20 of American Idol. Judge Luke Bryan immediately labeled her one of the best female country singers he’d heard on the show.

She released an EP called “One Day” shortly after her audition aired and a single called “Red Bird” in conjunction with the season finale. The latter cracked the Top 20 on Apple Music’s Top 200 chart and the Top 10 on the site’s country singles chart.

Tickets for the Gabby Barrett-Jason Aldean show range from $55.50 to $85.50.

The most successful Idol graduate since the show moved to ABC, she’s has scored number one country hits with “I Hope” and “The Good Ones.”

Among other honors, she was named best new female artist at the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards, top female country artist at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and won best music video by a female at the 2021 CMT Music Awards.

In May, she announced that she and husband Cade Foehner — also a Season 16 Idol contestant — are expecting their second child.

The York Fair runs Friday, July 22, through Sunday, July 31. Other concerts feature Sam Hunt, For King & Country, The Steve Miller Band and Foreigner.

American Idol Season 19 champ Chayce Beckham and former Voice contestant Kameron Marlowe are among the upcoming country artists who will perform on the Froggy 107.7 stage. Those shows are free with admission to the fair.
