In a savvy bit of marketing, former The Voice champ Cassadee Pope dropped her new music video Monday.
I’m sure the timing is deliberate. Tonight marks the final night of the knockouts on The Voice, during which Cassadee is working as an adviser with coach Kelly Clarkson.
The music video is for “Take Me Home,” Cassadee’s first single in about two years.
The song was released just before Cassadee’s mentoring gig on The Voice began airing.
And it showed the singer still has a dedicated fan base. The song rocketed into the Top 10 on the iTunes country singles chart within 24 hours of its release.
It’s also the first new music Cassadee has released since parting ways with Big Machine Records. In an interview you can watch here, Cassadee says she has five or six other new originals in her back pocket, but isn’t sure when or in what manner they’ll be released.
Here’s the music video for “Take Me Home.”
