Recent post-Voice releases include songs from Morgan Wallen, Troy Ramey and Dave Fenley.

With his debut album still on the country charts, Morgan has released another song from his upcoming second album.

Troy and Dave have been served up covers of well-known songs.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Morgan Wallen from Season 6 released a new single called “7 Summers” on Friday. Co-written with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, it finds Morgan reminiscing about a woman he spent time with seven summers earlier. Wallen posted a snippet of the song on Instagram, then it took traction on Tik-Tok, and that played a role in his decision to make it a single. “Social media played a huge part in me releasing this song, especially this early,” he told Rolling Stone. Morgan’s become the most successful former Voice artist in country music, scoring number one hits with “Up Down,” “Whiskey Glasses” and “Chasing You.” He’s also a new dad. His former fiance Katie Smith gave birth to their son Indigo “Indie” Wilder last month.

* Troy Ramey from Season 12 has released a cover of Jason Isbell’s “Maybe It’s Time.” Writes Troy: “I fell in love with this song when I heard it in ‘A Star is Born’ and it certainly is time to let the old ways die.” He’s releasing the song in conjunction with Movember, designed to help raise awareness of men’s health issues, including the mental health crisis and the rise in suicide rates due to COVID-19.

* Dave Fenley from Season 15 has released a lovely cover of a country classic, “Granda (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Ole Days).” Writes Dave on social media: “The message is just as important today as it was 35 years ago. The Judds did it beautifully. I hope you like my version too.” In fact, the song was a number one hit for The Judds back in 1986.
