New post-Voice music out includes releases from Sydney Rhame, Brooke Simpson and Tony Lucca.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases, plus some extras former finalists Brooke and Tony are offering during these quarantine times.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Sydney Rhame from Season 9 has released an excellent new pop single called “Losing It.” Says Sydney: “I wrote this song a year ago to celebrate hitting rock bottom. Sometimes writing it all down and dancing off all your problems is the only way to get through the storm.” Judging from the smile Sydney flashes as she dances around in the dress she wears for the cover art, she’s apparently no longer at rock bottom. She’s also posted an acoustic version on Soundcloud.

* Brooke Simpson from Season 13 has released a remix of her single “Real Long Nails.” Fans of the former finalist would do well to check out that fun tune, but there’s more to check out and more coming as well. Brooke has released two songs exclusively to Soundcloud as part of what she’s calling her quarantine diaries, is promising to drop the “quarantine bop of the century” on Friday and promises a new single on June 5.

* Tony Lucca from Season 2 is featured on an uplifting new single called “Rise” from J. Pollock. The song was written months before the pandemic, but the message is perfect for these times and can serve as a tribute to front-line, essential workers, Tony writes on Instagram. In fact, Tony says a portion of the proceeds will go to GetUsPPE.org, dedicated getting protective gear to hospital workers. Tony has also been hosting all-request Sundays on his Facebook, and there will be a show this week.
