And it promptly jumped into the Top 5 on the Apple Music singer-songwriter chart.
And 48 hours after its release, the song was still in the Top 50 on that chart.
“Turning the Shoulder” was recorded live on Windrake Farm, Sawyer’s family farm in Fultonville, N.Y.
Sawyer released the music video for “Should’ve Known Better” earlier this year, but “Turning the Shoulder” marks his first new music of 2019.
But it won’t be the last. “More and more music coming guys,” the Season 8 winner promises on Instagram.
More and more shows too for a guys who has kept quite busy since the show.
You can head to Sawyer’s Facebook page or website for a list of all those upcoming shows.
Here’s a performance of that new single, “Turning the Shoulder.”
