Janice Freeman delivers a reminder of her remarkable vocal talent on a posthumous single released earlier this month.

“Never Be the Same” stemmed from a studio session gifted to Janice by her Voice coach Miley Cyrus.

Miley is also the first speaker on a new tribute video to the late singer in which you’ll spot some other familiar faces.

Janice was 33 when she died on March 3, 2019, of pulmonary embolism. Her family said she was suffering from an extreme case of pneumonia when a blood clot formed and traveled to her heart.

Previous health struggles with Lupus and cervical cancer were a major part of her background story on The Voice, where she placed 11th in Season 13.

And at the time of her death, tributes poured in from her cast mates about her wonderful spirit and knack for encouraging others.

“Never Be the Same” came out on what would have been the singer’s 35th birthday.

“One last gift from Janice to you all,” the Janice Freeman Neuble Team wrote in announcing the news on social media.

They added: “Janice was a giver. Of love, time, talent, soul, and her gifts, and we miss her every day. We have the honor of releasing this song as a gift of celebration for her birthday, life, and legacy.

None of us knew that Janice would be gone so soon but what we do know is because of her, we will never be the same.”
