Turns out, they came sooner than expected thanks to a knockout preview video The Voice released Sunday.
The biggest news: Both Chloe Kohanski and Jordan Smith talked about their upcoming albums.
Chloe, who’d barely ever performed solo prior to The Voice, became a show sensation during Season 13 and has signed with Republic Records.
The label doesn’t have a great track record with Voice winners, but Chloe says “it’s been a really great experience so far.”
“They’re actually really excited about what I did on the show — the ’80s rock thing,” Chloe says.
She added that one song is already recorded and that she’s been working with Swedish songwriter, record producer and singer Max Martin.
After winning Season 9, Jordan released two albums within a year, a Christmas album and his true debut, “Something Beautiful.” That album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, the best ever for a Voice contestant.
Jordan says he’s also working on a new album, one likely to consist of more songs he wrote. Jordan had just one co-write on his debut album, which included five cover songs.
“I have 13 songs I really love and really believe in,” he says in the video. “And we’re going to put out a record. It’s almost finished. It’s actually really special to me because I wrote these songs. And it’s very different from what I think people are expecting me to do next.”
The other two guest mentors — Season 3 champ Cassadee Pope and Season 12 champ Chris Blue — chime in too, but most fans already know what they’re up to.
Chris Blue: We already knew his debut project was being co-produced by Alicia Keys. If you missed it, he’s released two songs since The Voice — “Blue Blood Blues” and “Humanity.” Says Chris: “I’m actually working on about 20 songs. Once (the debut album) is released, get on the road and start a big tour.”
Cassadee Pope: She just released her first single as an independent artist. It’s called “Take You Home,” and head here for a listen if you haven’t heard it yet. Cassadee has to be thrilled with the reception. Within 24 hours, the new song shot into the Top 10 on the iTunes country singles chart. A music video will follow.

Music melodies is more than shouting. I am surprised to hear people clap at the loudest yells. This quiet control shows more ability. Plus voice control with the diaphragm prolongs the vocal chords longer. Austin try Aint Got that Swing:) Gaga and Bennet duo
2017 winner love the Fleetwood Mac Stevie Knicks similar to raspy voice of Chloe:)
