Cassadee Pope, winner of The Voice Season 3, has released her first single in more than two years.

Cassadee Pope has to be thrilled with the reaction to her brand new single.

Twelve hours after its release, “Take Me Home” was sitting at number 15 on the iTunes country singles chart.

By noon Saturday, it had climbed to number six on the country singles chart and had cracked the Top 40 on iTunes overall singles charts.

And that’s quite impressive for Cassadee’s first release in two years. Not to mention her first since parting ways with Big Machine Records.

The song was written by Ben Hayslip, Emily Weisband, and Paul DiGiovanni. Cassadee told Billboard she also connected with the lyrics after parting ways with longtime boyfriend Rian Dawson last summer.

“Being single for the first time in eight years, I definitely felt those feelings when you meet somebody for the first time and you’re like, ‘I want to show you where I come from and I want to take you home, but not in that fleeting way. I want to take you to my hometown and show you what shaped me,'” she told the site.

Cassadee, now 28, says she also likes the fact that the song comes across as confident and sexy.

“This is what I want to reintroduce myself as,” she said. “I feel like I am in that place and I feel like that’s what people are going to get from that song.”

Cassadee won Season 3 of The Voice and followed it up with by releasing her “Frame by Frame” album in 2013. It remains one of the most successful post-Voice albums ever.

Now 28, she’s also the only former Voice contestant ever nominated for a Grammy. That honor came for her “Think of You” duet with Chris Young, which hit number one on the country singles chart.

Voice fans will see plenty of Cassadee over the next two weeks. She’s helping mentor Team Kelly Clarkson contestants during the knockout round.

Here’s her new single.
