And just in the nick of time, the Season 15 Voice runner-up has a new album — his first ever — available.
The album features mostly original tunes plus a couple of long-requested covers, like Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”
It comes just two months after Chris made it all the way to the finals on The Voice and was the show’s most streamed artist at least twice.
How did he turn around an album so quickly?
“I had a ton of help from some really close friends, here in the upper midwest — Wisconsin, Minnesota — and down in Nashville,” Chris told Voice Views. “I’ve surrounded myself with a truly incredible team of people to help me execute anything and everything.
“I think that it’s my duty and my calling to put out new music as fast as possible. My fans, and friends, have always supported me and now I get to give them some new tunes.”
The album will include “Human,” the original Chris performed on The Voice performance finale. The song has more than 50,000 streams on Spotify and hit number three on iTunes the night Chris performed it on the show.
Chris told Voice Views the song “came together like something out of a movie. The message of the lyrics are really important in this day and age; it’s basically a song about the fact that we are all imperfect, and we all make mistakes, and something that I think pretty much everyone can relate to.”
Life after The Voice has been “very busy, but great,” Chris said. Speaking of busy, head to Facebook and check out his very busy show schedule for the rest of this spring and summer. It’s jam-packed for sure.
“One of my favorite things about small-town Wisconsin is that everybody knows everybody, including me,” he said. “It’s not uncommon for me to run into the grocery store and know literally everyone in the building.”
That new album — autographed — should arrive soon for fans who pre-ordered through Chris’ website. It will also be available at his shows, including those at the Barron Community Center this weekend. No word yet on when it will land on digital music sites.
