Release day is always a big one for musicians.
This has been a release day Colton Dixon won’t soon forgot.
He began it by releasing a pair of EPs — “Calm” and “Storm.”
Then he apparently went to Disneyworld and got engaged.
Late this afternoon, the former Idol standout sent out this tweet: “She said yes!!!!!! #disneyworld #bestdayever #icried #shedidnt.”
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of him standing with a lovely young woman, her ring finger on display.
She is @AnnieCog on Twitter, short for Annie Coggeshall.
Her tweet at about the same time: “I had NO idea!!! He’s the BEST It was perfect.”
Congratulations for the couple have been pouring in ever since on Colton’s Facebook page.
I was checking on Colton because while the EPs — mostly reworkings of already released songs — hit iTunes this morning, the combo offer — “Calm Before the Storm” — wasn’t on the site.
The answer to that little mystery is also answered on Colton’s Facebook page.
“Calm Before the Storm,” including all the songs from both EPs, is available as a physical CD at LifeWay Christian Resources, Mardel, Family Christian, Amazon Music
and Walmart.
