Chalk up a third straight number one album for Colton Dixon.

When Billboard posted its new music charts on Tuesday, the former American Idol standout’s name was in a familiar spot.

At the very top of the Christian album chart.

This time it’s for his latest album, “Identity,” released March 24.

Colton explains the album’s title in a video message to fans on his Facebook page.

“I was looking at my life as a whole and realized I placed my identity in things that don’t matter,” he said.

“So I wanted to take us on a journey through the mind, the body and the spirit. Just to ask questions –questions that need to be asked and need to be thought about. Why we think what we think? Why we do what we do?”

In fact, he says he’s organized the album in three parts — the mind, the body and the spirit.

If spirit is the final part, be sure to check out a ballad called “Breathe” and the much more uptempo “High.” They are among the highlights at the 11-track project.

“All That Matters,” the album’s lead single, is also doing well on the Billboard charts. This week it’s at number 17 on the Christian Airplay chart and reached a new peek of 18 on the Hot Christian Songs chart.

On the Billboard 200, “Identity” checked in at number 73.

Colton’s first two albums — “Messenger” from 2013 and “Anchor” from 2014 — debuted at number 15 and number 23, respectively, on the Billboard 200.

Colton also just wrapped up the Winter Jam tour, but said he expects to be back on the road before 2017 ends.

You can keep up with his through Facebook and his website.

Colton, 25, placed seven on Season 11 of American Idol.
