Season 11 American Idol contestant Colton Dixon has released his first music video.

And it’s enjoying a good deal of success on the iTunes video download chart.

Colton Dixon has released his first music video, for "Never Gone."

Colton Dixon has released his first music video, for “Never Gone.”

As of 4 p.m. Friday, the music video for “Never Gone” was sitting at number three.

The only videos in front of it: “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus and “Roar” by Katy Perry.

The video directly below it: “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke and some of his scantily clad company.

Colton’s performance part of the new video was recorded in what he calls “some awesomely industrial worn down building in Nashville” and has him playing a worn-looking piano, illuminated by a single bulb.

The song has been his biggest hit to date, hitting number one on Billboard’s Christian adult contemporary chart and the Christian download chart.

Colton performed it during the 2012 Idol summer tour after finishing seventh in Season 11. Angie Miller covered the song en route to a third-place finish in Season 12.

Here’s the video.
