Danielle Bradbery hits number 19 on Billboard 200

Last week marked the release of the debut album from Danielle Bradbery, Season 4 winner of The Voice.

Today, that album landed at number 19 on the Billboard 200 and number five on the country albums chart.

Danielle Bradbery will return to perform on next Tuesday's episode of The Voice.

Danielle Bradbery will return to perform on next Tuesday’s episode of The Voice.

How does that compare to the recent releases from singing show winners Scotty McCreery and Cassadee Pope?

Cassadee, The Voice winner from Season 3, hit number nine on the Billboard 200 and number one on the country chart when her “Frame by Frame” album came out.

Scotty, winner of Season 10 of American Idol, also topped the country chart and debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 with his second album, “See You Tonight.”

But don’t consider Danielle’s album a flop based on chart position alone.

Danielle’s album hit a star-studded chart as the holiday season peaked. Only three debuts did better — Garth Brooks’ box set, One Direction’s chart-topping “Midnight Memories” and the “Frozen” soundtrack.

And Roughstock.com places her first-week sales in the 41,000 range. That’s not far off from the first-week numbers Billboard reported for Scotty (52,000) and Cassadee (43,000).

Meanwhile, the lead single from Danielle’s album, “Heart of Dixie,” held steady at 22 on the country airplay chart and jumped from 28 to 25 on the hot country singles chart this week.

And we’ll get a chance to see her perform Tuesday on The Voice. She’ll sing “Never Like This,” another track from her album.

Cassadee will also perform on Tuesday’s show, along with Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers, the other finalists from Season 4.

Danielle fans should also check out her upcoming tour dates. She’ll be heading out on tour with Brad Paisley next month.
