My Best Days, Danny Gokey's debut albumBig news for Danny Gokey fans.

The third-place finisher from American Idol season 8 will release his debut album, “My Best Days,” on March 2.

The album is being produced by Mark Bright. If the name rings a bell, there’s a good reason. Mr. Bright produced several songs on Carrie Underwood’s debut album and her last two albums.

Clearly, 19 Entertainment has put Danny in good hands.

Danny’s debut album can be pre-ordered on his Web site. Those who do will receive an instant download of the single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” and an autographed CD booklet (while supplies last).

The other tunes on the album include: Like That’s A Bad Thing, I Still Believe, Tiny Life, Get Away, It’s Only, Life On Ya, Crazy Not To, Be Somebody and I Will Not Say Goodbye.

That’s a rather skimpy 10 tracks, so let’s hope there are some bonus tracks out there somewhere.

Of course, Danny recently made his debut appearance on the Grand Ole Opry stage. To hear the two songs he performed, go here.
