David said he’ll be releasing the album in conjunction with Pledge Music, which means he’ll be relying on fans to help fund the effort.
He parted ways with RCA Records in 2012. His last album, “This Loud Morning,” was released nearly four years ago.
Since then, David has relocated to Nashville and released a pair of singles, “The Last Song I’ll Write for You” and “Wait for Me,” which came out in November.
David also participated in the race. His team raised more than $92,000, surpassin its $85,000 goal.
In the six years since he’s been involved in the event, his team has raised more than $1 million.
