The cast of Glee has more singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 than all of the past American idol contestants combined (just two).

Well, Clay Aiken’s new album is coming out next week, though I’m not sure his cover songs are going to make a big impact on the charts.

And before the year is out, we’ll have new albums from David Cook, David Archuleta and Fantasia.

Last week, I reported the dismal debut of the American Idol season nine album at number 77 on the Billboard 200, a depth last year’s compilation album didn’t reach until six weeks after its release.

Well, at least the album didn’t plummet this week. It’s now at number 82.

Here’s a look at all the Idols on the Billboard charts this week:

Kris Allen: His album has dropped out of the Billbord 200; his first single has dropped out of the Hot 100, but the latter is still number 10 on the adult pop song chart.

Bo Bice: In all the excitement surrounding the conclusion of season nine, you might have missed the news that Bo released his third album, titled simply, “3.” It debuts at number 154 on the Billboard 200.

Daughtry: “Leave This Town,” the band’s second album, drops from 51 to 58 on the Billboard 200. It’s been on the charts for 45 weeks now. “Life After You,” the second single from the album, is number five on the adult pop songs chart.

Fantasia: The season three winner’s new single, “Bittersweet,” continues to climb the Soul/R&B singles chart, jumping from 28 to 24 this week.

Danny Gokey: “My Best Days,” Danny’s debut album, drops from 138 to 184 on the Billboard 200. It’s number 28 on the country album chart, down from 24.

Adam Lambert: With his Glam Nation tour set to begin Friday in Wilkes-Barre, Adam has the highest ranked Idol single on the Hot 100 with Whataya Want from Me at number 29, down a spot from last week. The song is also number four on the adult pop song chart. Adam’s album made a 10-spot jump on the Billboard 200, from 72 to 62.

Carrie Underwood: Another big jump this week for Carrie’s latest single, “Undo It.” The song jumped from 73 to 59 on the Hot 100. The song moves from 19 to 14 among country singles. Carrie’s “Play On” is the top-charting Idol-related album on the Billboard 200 at number 35, down from 31 last week. Its again number five on the country album chart, behind only Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, the Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum.

We Are the Fallen: Carly Smithson and the guys see their debut album tumble from 33 to 104 on the Billboard 200. “Tear the World Down” is number 10 among hard rock albums.
