New post-Voice music out this week includes singles from Elenowen, Ryan Innes and Gary Carpentier.
Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

* Elenowen, the husband and wife team of Josh and Nicole Johnson, released their first original song since 2019 on Friday. Called “Let It All Go,” Josh said it “was written in a time where we weren’t sure how much longer we could keep pursuing this dream that doesn’t seem to go anywhere, a feeling that’s all too familiar if we’re being honest. Every day feels like a last ditch effort to move the needle forward and this song explores the idea of either throwing in the towel or staying in it. It starts the conversation of loosening the grip and not caring so much — to let what needs to happen happen.” Elenownen, from Season 1, has clearly decided to carry on. More new music is on the way, according to a press release announcing the single.
* Ryan Innes from Season 3 released a great new single Friday called “Take My Heart.” It’s the second released of 2021 for the songwriter, who also appeared on NBC’s Songland with a song called “Long Way Home.” That song became the Season 18 finale single for Voice champ Todd Tilghman. Ryan released a single called “Creature” earlier this year. Ryan wrote the new single with David Radcliffe and producer John Hancock.
* Gary Carpentier from Season 13 dropped “Drive,” his first single in more than a year on Friday. It’s about taking the leap to pursue one’s dreams. On Instagram, Gary said he’s spent a lot of time worrying about whether his music was good enough in the eyes of others. Then “I stopped worrying about what others thought and started worrying about what I thought. … That’s when everything changed for me. I’m happier. I’m more fulfilled. I’m more me than I’ve ever been & don’t plan on ever slowing down.”
