Here’s a look at how Idols fared on the Billboard music charts this week:

American Idol Season Eight: The season eight album debuted at number 34 six weeks ago and has dropped every week since. This week, it’s 91, down from 65.

Kelly Clarkson: Her fourth album has been bouncing all over the Billboard 200 the last three weeks. Last week, it jumped from 86 to 59. This week, it’s back down to 72. The controversial new single, “Already Gone,” is 89 on the Hot 100. Its predecessor, “I Do Not Hook Up,” drops from 61 to 82. But it’s still number 28 on the Pop 100.

David Cook: Very little change this week for Idol’s season seven winner. His debut album is number 98 on the Billboard 200; it’s been hovering between 87 and 98 for seven weeks now. The single “Come Back to Me” remains at 87 on the Hot 100 and 17 on the adult contemporary chart.

Daughtry: After three weeks in the number one or two position, Daughtry’s second album drops to number six on the Billboard 200. But the single “No Surprise” continued its advance, to number 15 on the adult contemporary chart and number 27 (up from 32) on the Hot 100.

Jennifer Hudson: “If This Isn’t Love” continues to hang in there on the R&B singles chart, moving up a spot, from 34 to 33 this week. If you missed it, this was a big week for Jennifer for another reason — the birth of her son, David Daniel Otunga Jr., on Monday.
Kellie Pickler: After several weeks on the rise, Kellie’s second album and her single, “Best Days of Your Life,” lost a little steam this week. The single dropped seven spots on the Hot 100. The album fell from 69 to 80 on the Billboard 200 and from 15 to 17 on the country album chart.

Jordin Sparks: It might be time for Jordin to fire the next bullet in her “Battlefield” arsenal. The album dipped from 21 to 40 in its third week on the chart. After a strong charge, the single fell back from 13 to 16 on the Hot 100.

Phil Stacey: His Christian album is due out Tuesday, and his first single off that album, “If You’re Not Shaken,” moves up another spot, to 18, on the Christian singles chart.

Carrie Underwood: With another album due out in November, Idol’s season four winner might never leave this list. Released in 2007, “Carnival Ride” is still number 86 on the Billboard 200 and 19 on the country album chart.
