Great news for those who can’t wait to hear the second album from season five runner-up Katharine McPhee.

The album, “Unbroken,” is finished, and the release date has been moved up to Oct. 6, according to a blog the now-blond McPhee posted Friday.

We’ll get a taste of it this week. The first single, “Had It All,” is set for release on Tuesday.

Kat released her first self-titled album, filled with dance-driven tunes, in January 2007. It wasn’t exactly a smash success.

When Kat went blond for the new album, she said the new look matched her new music, describing it as a “little more edgy.”
