The Idol ladies will next take the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday night, with a spot in the Top 16 on the line.

Who has the edge heading into that round?

Well, at this stage, the edge just might belong to the contestants who have already established the largest fan bases.

So here’s a look at where the contestants stood in terms of Facebook fans and Twitter and Instagram followers as of 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Four contestants — Jax, Lovey James, Adanna Duru and Maddie Walker — are ranked among the top five on all three social media sites.

Check out the Twitter numbers for Lovey James and the Instagram followers for Jax. Pretty impressive. And a pretty impressive margin over the rest of the competition.
