Juliet Simms delivers a new version of a singing show favorite

Buckley’s “Hallelujah” is a favorite for singing show contestants.

And now, one of the most recognizable voices to ever grace The Voice stage has given us her own version.

Juliet Simms, the show’s Season 2 runner-up, released her cover of the song Friday.

It’s now available on Spotify and Amazon and will be coming to iTunes soon, according to a tweet from Juliet.

Part of the proceeds from downloads will go to Doctors Without Borders.

That’s something Juliet told MusicExistence.com she decided to do because of the recent terrorist attacks around the world.

“I performed ‘Hallelujah’ last year around Christmas time at a few shows,” she told the site. “Everywhere I performed it, I had people telling me to please record my version.”

Juliet, 29, fronted the alternative rock band Automatic Love Letter pre-Voice.

Earlier this year, she released her first major post-Voice project — a six-track EP called “All or Nothing” and a video for the single, “End of the World.”
