Katriz Trinidad prevails; Blessing Offor stolen on The Voice

0

In one of the odder battle round pairings on The Voice, Pharrell Williams pitted 25-year-old Blessing Offor against 15-year-old Katriz Trinidad.

Then he gave them Stevie Wonder’s “Do I Do” as a battle round song, a tune that would seem to heavily favor Blessing.

But the teen from San Diego — who confessed she isn’t used to singing Stevie Wonder songs — held her own, showing off her big voice and her impressive stage presence.

She came so far during the course of the battle round, that Pharrell declared Katriz the winner.

Blessing got his share of praise, too, especially for his “effortless” vocals. In fact, both Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani tried to steal him for their teams.

Adam won that battle, convincing Blessing to join his team.
