If you haven’t had your fill of reality singing competitions, another has surfaced.

It’s called the “Next Great Family Band,” and it has at least one Idol and one X Factor connection.

Kimberley Locke from Season 2 of American Idol, is a mentor on a new reality music competition.Kimberley Locke, who finished third behind Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard on Season 2 of Idol, is one of the three mentors for the show.

And one of the family bands is the Brewer Boys, brothers from California who made the top 17 on Season 1 of The X Factor.

The half-hour show is airing on NBC Universal’s COZI TV. You can watch full episodes and learn more about the show here.

Right now, there are apparently 15 bands in the competition, a number that will be whittled down to a grand finale featuring three.

Each will be mentored by one of the experts on the show. In addition to Kimberley, the other members are Phoenix Stone, formerly of the Backstreet Boys, and Samantha Maloney, former drummer with Motley Crue and Hole.

By the way, if you want a completely different side of Kimberley, visit her Facebook page for her Cooking with Kimberley segments.

She just posted a new video over the weekend.
