Koryn Hawthorne, a finalist on Season 8 of The Voice, has released her debut single for RCA Inspiration.

The best news for Koryn fans: More new music is coming, and you won’t have to wait long to hear it.

The 19-year-old from Louisiana will release her self-titled debut EP on Friday.

The song already released is “Won’t He Do It,” and you can check it out below. It was written by Grammy-nominated songwriter, Makeba Riddick-Woods.

“This particular song is so catchy and fun, and I can’t wait to perform it,” Koryn says in a press release announcing the single, which is also featured on the Season 2 soundtrack for the OWN series “Greenleaf.”

As for the EP, it will carry the gospel label, but Koryn says she refuses to box herself in musically and doesn’t believe she has with her debut effort.

“The sound is universal, even if it’s considered gospel,” she says. “This music can touch anyone and everyone, no matter their walk of life.”

Koryn was just 16 when she auditioned for The Voice and earned a spot on Team Pharrell Williams. She wound up finishing fourth behind Sawyer Fredericks, Meghan Linsey and Joshua Davis.

You can follow her through her Facebook page or website. On Twitter, she’s simply @KorynHawthorne.
