Wendy Moten, runner-up on Season 21, recently released a song called “Don’t Give Up.” It’s a song she wrote in 2009 with David Santos. “It wasn’t ready to be heard then; it’s ready to be heard now,” says Wendy, adding it’s her story, about the way she’s never given up on a career in music, about how she insisted on continuing to compete on The Voice even after breaking her elbow in an on-stage fall. “This is the first song that I’ve felt like it’s testimoney,” she says.
“i hope it encourages you and i hope it encourages others.”

Koryn Hawthorne, fourth on Season 8, recently released “Cry,” the first single off her upcoming third album. Koryn sings over a sample of Joe Sample’s “In All My Wildest Dreams” and credits produced J. White Did It for the idea. “Honestly, when I heard it, I literally fell in love with it,” she told Get Up Church. “We clipped it and just made it so inclusive to kind of, just things that everybody is going through. It’s a tearjerker for sure.” Twice nominated for Grammys since appearing on The Voice, Koryn also played the role of mean girl Fallon in the Peacock film “Praise This.” The film dropped in April.
