We have a release date for another of the albums planned for 2016 by former American Idol winners.

Kris Allen will release his fourth post-Idol album, “Letting You In,” on March 18.

He’s described the album as his “most personal work to date.”

“I’m really proud of this record and excited for fans to hear it,” Kris said. “I think they’re really going to love it.”

During a recent Twitter question-and-answer session, Kris also noted that this will be the quickest turn-around between albums “so I couldn’t overthink it.”

The March 18 release date means the new album will be out during Kris’ upcoming tour, which will run from late March to early June.

The tour includes a stop at The Hamilton in Washington, D.C., on April 5, at World Cafe Live in Philly on April 6, at the Pittsburgh Winery on April 13. You can check out the complete list on Kris’ website.

No word yet on a lead single from the album.

Kris, of course, recently appeared on Idol, helping out at the auditions in Little Rock, Ark.

As for those other albums, Lee DeWyze has announced that he will release “Oil and Water” on Feb. 12. Taylor Hicks and Fantasia have said they will release albums in 2016, but haven’t announced released dates.
