Kris performs songs off his upcoming album

Want an early taste of Kris Allen’s debut album, set for release Nov. 17?

Well, below are three songs Kris performed at a Miami Dolphins tailgate party recently.

And, according to this article on the Entertainment Weekly Web site, all three songs have made the cut for the album.

The article lists 13 tunes, including Kris’ first single, “Live Like We’re Dying,” that is in danger of dying if it doesn’t start moving up the music charts soon.

Also among the list of tracks is a version of “Heartless,” the Kanye West song Kris covered to rave reviews on Idol.

Of the remaining 12 tracks, Kris has a writing credit on nine, according to a recent interview posted on his Web site.

No where to be found on the track list: “No Boundaries,” this year’s Idol coronation song.

I’d call that an addition by omission.

Meanwhile, you can go to Kris’ Web site to hear him talk about his new album and find out what cartoon character he’d like to be.

Hey, Kris is answering a question every day for fans. And that just happened to be Monday’s question.

Now, here are the tunes.

“Written All Over My Face” …

“Can’t Stay Away”

“Before We Come Undone”
