American Idol Season 15

La’Porsha Renae scores three most-watched Idol songs from Top 3 night

Very early in Wednesday’s 8 p.m. performance finale on American Idol, Ryan Seacrest will reveal the names of the two singers vying for the Season 15 crown.

If YouTube popularity is any indication, that announcement should be good news for La’Porsha Renae and Trent Harmon.

La’Porsha recorded the three most-watched performances on YouTube from American Idol’s Top 3 performance show. Trent scored the next three most-watched performances, with Dalton’s three songs bringing up the rear.

Oh, and that marks the fifth time in six weeks since the finals began that La’Porsha has scored the week’s most-watched performance. The only exception was Top 4 night, when Trent’s cover of “Chandelier” attracted nearly a half million views.

Below are the performances in the order they ranked, with the number of views for each as of 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Check back Wednesday evening. I’ll be live blogging the performance show, with song by song grader as alawys.

1. La’Porsha Renae, “Hello” (judges’ pick) — 404,840

2. La’Porsha Renae — “Stay With Me” (Scott Borchetta’s pick) — 312,530

3. La’Porsha Renae, “Glory” (hometown dedication) — 297,296

4. Trent Harmon, “Waiting Game” (judges’ pick) — 202,120
