Jordin Sparks is receiving generally favorable reviews for her first new album in six years.

But “Right Here Right Now” is being greeted with what sounds like a giant yawn on the iTunes’ charts.

As of 10 a.m. Friday morning, hours after its release, the album was sitting at number 194 on a chart that lists the Top 200 overall albums.

Now perhaps fans are picking up the album elsewhere, but that’s not a good showing for a collection of new music.

On the top album chart, “Right Here Right Now” was at 32 as of 10 a.m. Ouch.

The better news: those reviews.

Rolling Stone: Gives Jordin 3 of 5 stars, writing “Jordin Sparks has made a career out of age-appropriate pop — catchy enough for the charts, tame enough for your parents. The 25-year-old star’s first new LP in six years sees her becoming sexier, sassier and shadier with time.”

New York Daily News: Gives Jordin 3 stars as well, writing “the single “Double Tap” expertly straddles hip-hop and pop. That hybrid, and Sparks’ new maturity, allows her to find her voice, as well as a potential new role. While many fans have called Ariana Grande the new Mariah, “Right Now” makes Sparks sound like the true heir.”
