Madison VanDenburg, third-place finisher on American Idol Season 17, just released her first single since.

American Idol Season 17 finalist Madison VanDenburg has released her first single since the show.

The song is called “What I’m Looking For” and landed Friday.

“I wrote the song when I came home from the @americanidol finale,” Madison writes on Instagram.

“It’s all about chasing the dream: moving to LA, feeling like everything is changed, and just enjoying the opportunities that I now have because of American Idol.”

Paul Benedetti and Modern Day Music School produced the track. The school’s students include Madison and former Voice standout Moriah Formica.

The song is just the second released by Madison, who was only 16 when she auditioned for American Idol. She released a song called “Need a Little Heartbreak” last summer.

Here’s a snippet of “What I’m Looking For.”
