Alessandra Guercio, Season 3, The Voice

Meet Alessandra Guercio of Team Adam on The Voice

4

This lovely 17-year-old from Brooklyn, N.Y., attends Laguardia High School, known as “The Fame School.”

Alessandra Guercio told The Voice her teachers push their students hard to prepare them for the real world. She also said she was anxious and nervous about the performance and decided not to jinx herself by telling her classmates.

She’s sings “The Climb.” Yep, that crappy Miley Cyrus song.

But she sounded solid, until Adam and Cee Lo spin around, at which point the vocal wavered noticeably.

The judges said they suspected it was her reaction to the fact that she’d landed a spot on the show.

What the show didn’t show: At age 9, she competed on “America’s Most Talented Kids” on PAX and won, according to her profile on BIG Management. At age 15, she tried out for Idol and made it to Hollywood. She teamed with Pia Toscano and Brielle Von Hugel for a praised performance of Bruno Mars’ “Grenade.” Pia is clearly a fan, tweeting “Omg! First night I miss The Voice and my girl @A_Guercio is on! So proud of you my angel! Congratulations!” And, given that she attends “The Fame School,” you won’t be surprised to learn that Alessandra dances. She displays a couple of her moves in a Voice after-audition interview with Christina Milian.
