Her audition: Natalie Yacovazzi, 28, of Chicago, Ill., auditioned with a high-energy performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “Mr. Know It All.” She earned an early chair turn from Adam Levine, the coach she expressed the most interest in working with pre-audition. Christina Aguilera turned as well, but too late for it to count, meaning Natalie wound up on Team Adam.
Her background: Natalie auditioned for Season 9, but failed to turn a chair. In her pre-audition interview, she called that experience “devastating.” She’s a single mom and a credit card processor. After last year’s audition, she says “I went home and I not only focused on my voice, I focused on myself. I wanted to be back here as healthy and ready as I can be.” She considered her Season 10 audition “my last chance at making a name for myself in the music industry.” She also wanted to show her daughter, Aria, that it makes a difference to never give up.
What the show didn’t show:
On iTunes: Just her performance from The Voice.
