Here’s more about Brayden:
* He stands 6-foot-4 and is a three-sport standout — football, basketball and baseball — for the Grass Lake Warriors. He’s the starting quarterback for the varsity football team.
* Brayden admits he has less experience as a musician, playing just five little gigs prior to his summer Voice audition.
* His father told The Voice Brayden picked up the guitar on his own and started singing in the room “with his door closed and then, “finally, singing in front of us.”
* Brayden told Voice Views he auditioned for the show at the suggestion of his mother.
* Thank COVID for his interest in music. Brayden said he got bored during the pandemic “so I started to learn how to play the guitar watching YouTube. Soon after I started singing in front of my family; then soon my friends.”
* Brayden told Voice Views his musical inspirations include Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Noah Schnacky, and Shawn Mendes.
* And if the teenager was going to turn just one chair, he might have turned the right one. He said he considers himself a “new country style artist.”
* Brayden said he performed “This Town” for his audition because it was one of the first songs he learned and performed in front of an audience.
* But The Voice stage was quite a change of atmosphere. Brayden said his biggest previous performance was during Sunflower Fest at a local apple orchard.
* As for that blind audition, Brayden says: “It was very nerve wracking because it was my first time doing anything like this. I was getting nervous that no one would turn, and then Blake did right at the end. It was an awesome feeling.”
